Geraldine (Jerry) Redden passed away on December 27, 2005 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 3, 1925 to Willis and Elizabeth Gardner Greenhalgh in Ruth, Nevada.
She worked as a nurse, a waitress, and as a homemaker serving her family. She loved her work as a Senior Companion and was very involved in her community. Jerry enjoyed her association with VFW and the women's auxiliary.
She was a devoted mother to her five children and loved being with her grandchildren. Jerry enjoyed going south in the winter, all family activities, fishing, and antique collecting. She loved her garden.
A member of the LDS church, she is survived by her three sons and two daughters: Terry (Carol) Olsen, Spanish Fork; Melodie (David) Wood, Salem; Shaun (Vickie) Olsen, Pahrump, NV; Chet (Karen) Olsen, Benjamin; and Jerilynn (Dave) Bona, Springville. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Doug Olsen; Lynn Spainhower; and Jim Redden; her parents; and brothers: Berdell and Loynel Greenhalgh.
We her family would like to extend our personal thanks for all the love and care given to our mother by Dena McCloud, and Bonnie Ballard of A-plus home care, and also Dr. Gary Garner of Hospice Vista Care.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2005 at the Mount Nebo Ward Chapel, 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, Utah, at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 187 South Main, Spanish Fork, and one hour prior to services at the church.
