Pvt. U.S. Marine Corps, Vietnam War-Pvt Ringenberger died in the line of duty at Da Nang Air Base, China Beach facility on 10-27-1970 while serving with MACS-4 of the MAC-18, 1st Marine Wing, 3rd Marine Air Wing. Pvt. Ringenberger started his tour of Vietnam on June 29, 1970.

He is the son of Mr. James R. & Mrs. Betty {Frank} Ringenberger of 5836 North Graceland Avenue in Peoria, Illinois, and he attended Richwoods H.S., and was in the Marine Corps by November 15, 1968, and did his training at Camp Pendleton, California, and his AIT at Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, and was transferred to El Toro Marine Base at Santa Ana, California, and then to Vietnam.

Besides his parents, he leaves three brothers, Phillip and David at home, and Gregory with the Marine Corps.

Awards: Vietnam Service Medal with One Service Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, National Defense Service Medal.
