Funeral services for James N. Partington, 54, were held Friday morning at the Vase Funeral Home. The Rev. Norman A. McCallum of First Congregational conducted the rites and burial was in Mountain View cemetery.

Pallbeaerers were E.J. Alexander, Kenneth Baird, Roberrt Cuthbertson, Sam Doan, Ben Hautala and Elwood Robins.

Mr. Partington was found dead Tuesday afternoon at his home at 940 Elk, apparently the victim of self-inflicted gunshot from a .25 caliber automatic pistol.

James Nelson Partington was born March 8, 1904 in Steubenville, Ohio. He was brought to Rock Springs in 1910 by his parents, James and Flora Partington. He worked in the mines for several years and 18 years ago he opened the 4-J tourist court on Elk. He was married here in 1930 to Jeanette Zeiher who with one son and one daughter, James Partington and Mrs. William (JoAnn) Olah, both of Rock Springs, survive. One brother and one sister, Robert Partington of Glen's Falls, N.Y., and Marie Partington of Hollywood, also survive.

His father died here in 1946 and his mother, Mrs. Flora Brawley, died in 1958.
