Obituary: Pennsboro News, Harrisville, WV, Friday, 26 Oct 2007:
Nathaniel Patrick Bartlett, 21, of Pullman, WV, went to join our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, and his grandma, Carmel Reed, in Heaven on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at Morgantown, WV. He was born on May 19, 1986, at Parkersburg, the son of Edwin "Eddie" and Teresa (Reed) Bartlett of Pullman. Nathaniel graduated from Ritchie County High School with the class of 2005, was a member of the track team and played football. While in high school, he also attended the PRT Tech Center in Pleasants County and was named to the National Technical Honor Society. In 2007, he graduated from Washington State Community College at Marietta, with a degree in auto and diesel mechanics and was currently attending Washington State pursuing a degree in heating and air conditioning and furthering his education into auto mechanics. He was a member of the Morning Star 4-H Club at Pennsboro, WV, and had also earned a degree in biblical studies from the Grantsville Bible Institute at Grantsville, W.Va. He had been employed at Advance Auto Parts and was currently employed at Midas Muffler and Tire, both of Vienna. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers in the company of his friends and working on autos. He was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church, Harrisville, WV.
In addition to his parents, Nathaniel is survived by his sister, Victoria Faith Bartlett of the family residence in Pullman; maternal grandfather, Eddie Reed of Ellenboro; paternal grandparents, Gerald and Cletha Bartlett of Auburn, WV; aunts and uncles, Crystal and Dave Corbin of Waverly, WV, and Mike and Ella Reed of Harrisville; cousins, Tommy and Jennifer Johnson and Kayla and Neil Reed; a special family that he considered to be his aunt, uncle and cousins, Roger and Sharon Mason and sons, Jonathan, Joshua and Jared of Burnt House, WV; and a goddaughter, Leilani Navarro, daughter of Michael and Brittany Navarro.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the Raiguel Funeral Home, Harrisville, with Pastor Mike Kirby officiating. Interment will be in the Spruce Creek Baptist Church Cemetery on Spruce Creek in Ritchie County, W.Va. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday and after 11 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials in the name of Nathaniel Bartlett are preferred to the Southside Baptist Church, Box 343, Harrisville, WV 26362.
