DECATUR — James T. "Jim" Bailey, 79, of Decatur died 8:01 a.m. Friday (July 19, 2002) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Long Point Cemetery, Niantic. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes. Memorials: Homeward Bound Animal Shelter of Macon County or Humane Society of Macon County.
Mr. Bailey was born March 24,1923, in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Elbert and Bessie Stog dill Bailey. He retired from J. L. Simmons Construction and was a member of Labor Union Local 159. He enjoyed bowling and horseshoes. He married Pat Anderson July 2,1949, in Louisville, Ky.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Pat; daughter, Kathy "Jody" Holman and husband Lloyd of Decatur; son, Tim Bailey of Decatur; granddaughters, Danika Holman of Bloornington; Courtney Bailey of Decatur; and his cat, Molly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one nephew.
