Malta Bend Man Fatally Injured in Car Wreck
Robert Schieszer Of Marshall Not Hurt in Accident
Higginsville, Mo., June 10--A car which a passenger said was being driven 105 miles an hour overturned on a curve on M-13, three miles north of here early today, injuring two passengers, one critically.
Alexander Boillot, Jr., 24, Malta Bend, Mo. suffered severe head injuries. He was in critical condition at Memorial hospital, Lexington, MO.
The driver, Richard Fred Schroeder, 22, Kansas City, Kansas, suffered head lacerations and shock.
Robert Lee Schieszer, 20, who lives near Marshall, MO., told Ton Poindexter, a state highway patrolman, that Schroeder was driving 105 miles an hour when the car went into the curve. Pondexter said the car skidded around the curve, then overturned several times and stopped in a field. It went 865 feet after it started skidding. The tree occupants were thrown from the car, but Schieszer was not injured.
Schroeder was accused of careless driving and was instructed to appear June 26 fro trial in the magistrate court of B. I. Gladish at Lexington.
Alexander Boillot died last night at the Lexington hospital.
Richard Schroeder, who has a severe neck injury, was transferred yesterday to the Veterans hospital at Kansas City. He formerly lived in Malta Bend, where his father was engaged in the lumber business.
Rober Schleszer lives on a farm about seven mile east of Marshall on 41 highway with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert W Schieszer. The father is an adjuster for federal crop insurance.
Mr Boillot is survived by his mother, Mrs Mary Boillot of Malta Bend; his father, A J Boillot of Phoenix, Ariz, and his wife Mrs Lois Boillot, who before her marriage was Miss Lois Smith of Slater. Mr. and Mrs Boillot lived with his mother at Malta Bend. He was graduated by Malta Bend High School in 1950.
Mr Boillot died at 10:45 O'clock last night in the Memorial hospital at Lexington. He was the son of Alexander Joseph Boillot, now a resident of Phoenix, Ariz., and Mary Sailor Boillot of Malta Bend.
The body will remain at the Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home until 12:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon when it will be taken to the Methodist church at Malta Bend where the funeral service will begin at 2:30 o'clock. Mr Boillot was a member of that church
Mr. Boillot, who had lived his entire life at Malta Bend, was employed at the Western Auto store here.
He was four years in the Navy, stationed at Pearl Harbor for 2 1/2 years and on sea duty for more than a year. He received his discharge in 1955.
