CITIZEN DROPS DEAD FRIDAY---On Friday afternoon, Jospeh L. Thornton, 78 years of age, dropped dead while working in the back yard of his home south of town on highway 160 and 39. Jospeh L. Thornton was born June 1871 in Cedar County and died October 28 at the age of 78 years, four months and one day. Mr. Thornton's living relatives are one daughter, Mable Lee Eastin, Kansas City, Mo.; one son,E.F. Thornton, Dadeville, Mo. and two brothers, John S. and W.H.Thornton of Jerico Springs, Mo. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Allison Funeral Home of Greenfield and internment in the Omer Cemetery.
