Leona M. Bell, 90, daughter of James and Letha Sivewright, was born May 10, 1916, at Little Rock, Ark. She died Dec. 17, 2006, at Village Shalom Health Center at Overland Park, Kan.
She married Wayne Burton Bell Oct 4, 1940. They were married more than
50 years.
Mrs. Bell was a long-time member of the Plato Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Surviving are her daughter, Judy Johns of Leawood, Kan.; sister, Eunice Graves of Springfield; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Services are 1:30 today (Thursday) at the Plato Christian Church under the direction of Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee. Visitation is from 12:30 until time for services.
Memorials may be made to the Plato Christian Church or Kansas City Hospice.
