WILL OF SARAH JANE GILBERT GASKINS ... wife of Benjamin Gaskins. daughter of Jesse Gilbert- Jr.
and Susannah Clements - State of SC. Darlington County.
I. Sarah Jane Gaskins of said county and state being
of sound mind make my last will. I will and bequeath in consideration of the natural love and affection my real
property, consisting of 97 acres of land situated in Darlington County, SC as follows: North by lands of estate of James Kelly, east by lands of estate of James Kelly and Reuben Waters, south by lands of estate of Glenry King,
west by lands of G.P. King lo my beloved husband Benjamin Gaskins during his life time and al his death to my
son Dan Munroe Gaskins and his heirs forever, in case the said Benjamin Gaskins. my husband, should out live
my son Dan Munroe Gaskins then at the death of my husband Benjamin Gaskins to the heirs of Dan Munroe
Gaskins forever. In witness whereof I have signed and sealed published and declared this instrument as my last
will at Darlington, SC, 27 September 1899 On sale at Darlington County courthouse, SC. Case B., Apt 61,
Pkg 52. (Sara Jane excluded all of her children except Daniel Munroe in this will).

5.Albennie Gaskins, born January 21,1878; died November 20, 1968. She married Elias Grantham; born Abt. 1874: died January 05, 1902.
6.Benjamin Columbus Gaskins, bom December 08, 1880; died January 25, 1883.
7.Daniel Munroe Gaskins, born September 25, 1884: died May 04, 1916 in Kellytown, Florence County, SC. He married Elizabeth Betty Kelly, bom Abl. 1886: died April 07, 1907.

Injury Proves Fatal, Daniel M. Gaskins Killed When Mule Runs Away - HARTSVILLE, May 4
Daniel M. Gaskins, 31 years of age, a young and successful planter of the Kellytown section, died today
about 12 o'clock following injuries received this morning in a runaway. He was driving a mule in the
country near his home when something about the harness became disarranged. This frightened the animal and in the runaway which followed, Mr. Gaskins was thrown violently on his head and his skull was fractured. He was brought to Hartsville and was being carried to Florence to a hospital but died before the train reached Darlington.
The funeral will be held at Liberty Hill Church near his home tomorrow. His wife and many friends and relatives of this section survive.
