Mr. Emmes was born in Rutland and on Apr. 20, 1921, was married to Hannah Mikkelson, who died in 1953. On Oct. 22, 1954, he was married to Emma Gullickson.
He had been empolyed by the Wisconsin Power and Light Co. for more than 30 years, retiring in 1953.
Surviving are his wife and a step daughter, Mrs. Alfred H. Havey, Stoughton. funeral services will be held at 1;30 p.m. Tuesday in the Holzbuter funeral home, where friends may call after 2 p.m. Monday.
