Hancock -- Final rites were held at the Hamilton Funeral Home here this afternoon for Nelson Swenson 82, of Doylestown, a former resident of Hancock, who died Friday at the Portage Hospital following a lingering illness with a heart condition.
The Rev. Mr. Holder officiated and burial took place in the Hancock Cemetery.
Mr. Swenson was born in Hancock Jan. 19, 1880, and married the former Mary Holmes in 1905. They formerly farmed in the Hancock area.
Surviving are his wife, two sons, Maurice, Minneapolis, and Merle Milwaukee, three grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
