HANCOCK - Dewey K. Holmes, 80, of Hancock, died on Thursday, June 7, 2001, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The funeral will be held on Monday, June 11, at 11 a.m., at Grace Lutheran Church, W10805 Highway C, Hancock. The Rev. Ronald L. Schultz will officiate. Burial with military honors will be in Hancock Cemetery.
Mr. Holmes was born on Aug. 24, 1920 in the town of Colburn, Adams County, the son of Alfred and Nettie (Phelps) Holmes. He was married to Violet Hamilton on July 19, 1947, in Adams County.
Mr. Holmes served his country in the Army during World War II. He was employed at the Milbrew factory in Juneau for many years until his retirement. He and his wife resided in Dodge County before moving to Adams County 12 years ago.
