FORMER LAWTON CITIZEN DIED AT EL PASO FRIDAY - Word was received by friends in this city of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Wilson that Mrs. Wilson had died in El Paso Friday, and that the body, accompanied by the husband and sons, would arrive in Lawton on the morning Rock Island passenger. Interment will be made in the Lawton cemetery.Mr. and Mrs. Wilson were pioneer citizens of this section and are widely and favorably known to all the early-day citizens. Mr. Wilson was engaged in the cattle business. The sad death of this former estimable citizen will be learned of with much regret. (The Lawton News, May 7, 1916, p. 4).
