Mrs. Sybil Oneida Eason, 92, of Villa Rica, died Wednesday, January 11, 2012, in Autumn Square Assisted Living at Carrollton Manor.

She was born in Carroll County, Georgia, on July 17, 1919, the daughter of the late Robert C. Phillips and the late Lovella (Young) Phillips. She lived her entire lifetime in Carroll County and worked for a number of years for Lawler Hosiery Mill and later as a nursing assistant at Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton. She was a devoted and loving homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest L. Eason; two sons, infant Robert W. Eason and James L. Eason; daughter-in-law, Linda Eason; brothers, Watson Phillips, Rupert Phillips, Selby Phillips, Wilmer Phillips and Burnett Phillips; and a sister, Evelyn Phillips.

Survivors include her son, one sister, four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning, January 13, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. from the chapel of the J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Brown and the Rev. Chad Eason officiating. Music will be provided by Wanda Cramer. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens, Carrollton.
