Mr. Higdon died in Methodist North Hospital in Memphis of cancer at the age of 55. He was a retired heavy equipment foreman for the City of Dallas, TX. He attended Victory Baptist church. His parents were the late George Andrew Higdon and Sarah Samantha Bell Vaughn Higdon Turnage. He was the husband of Sharon Ann Guthrie Higdon. He leaves two daughters, Lesa Joyner, and Christie Ann Higdon of Drummonds, TN; three sons, Stanley L. "Bubba", John Wayne and Samuel H. "Sammy" Higdon of Drummonds, TN. He was preceded in death by Shirley Ann Lovette Higdon the mother of his children.
