SPRINGFIELD - Margaret "Maggie" Lee Usherwood, 78, of Springfield passed away Sunday, June 8, 2008, at her home.
She was born March 20, 1930, in Athens, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Smith Alexander. She married Ernest R. "Sonny" Usherwood in November 1949.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Ernest; two sons-in-law, Howard "Butch" Law and Kenny Shaw; four sisters, Gladys, Hazel, Mabel and Loarine; and two brothers, Charles and Paul.
She is survived by two sons, Dan (Deborah) Usherwood of Pleasant Plains and Brad Usherwood of Springfield; three daughters, Judy Shaw, Susan Law and Kathy Usherwood, all of Springfield, grandchildren, Roland (Stacy) Law of Riverton, April (Brian) Wozniak of Colorado, Tammy (Larry) McMillen of Oklahoma, Lori (Steve) Underwood of Pawnee, Sarah and Rebecca Usherwood of California, Chris Usherwood of Springfield, Alexander Usherwood of Pleasant Plains and Cole Usherwood of Springfield; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lucile Iames of California and Susan Butts of Effingham; and several nieces and nephews.
