Mama Bill was born in Fate, Texas on a farm, the family moved to Dallas, Texas when she was a young girl. Her first job was with the Hughes Candy Co. learning the art of dipping chocolates. After several years with the candy company she went to work for Sangers Brothers Department in downtown Dallas. She and her husband were members of Cliff Temple Baptist Church. She died after a long illness with lung cancer....
