WW11 Veteran, Passed away peacefully in hospital, Brockville on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the age of 91 years. Beloved husband of Della (Stick) Quartus for over 65 years and cherished father of Lynda Pollard (Peter) and Sandra Shire (Paul). Dear grandfather of Sarah McPherson, Sam Pollard, Stacy Smith and Adam Smith. Fondly remembered by 8 great grandchildren; by his sister Marjorie Sweet and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Lloyd Quartus and by his sister Thelma Lee.
Family and friends may pay their respects at the Irvine Funeral Home, 4 James Street East, Brockville on Tuesday, September 20th from 11 am - 1 pm. A service in honour of Jack's life will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday at 1 pm commencing with a Salem Masonic Lodge # 368 G.R.C. memorial tribute and a Royal Canadian Legion Br. 96 veteran's memorial service. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Legion Poppy Fund or the Shriner's Hospital for Children would be gratefully appreciated.
