WILLIAM T. HARRIS
William Tyre Harris, 75, of Higbee, died at his home early this morning. Born Jan. 26, 1898, at Higbee, he was the son of George and Mary Slaughter Harris.
He was a retired employe of the GM and O Railroad, and was a member of the Sweet Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Sharp Harris of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Donald Ridgeway of Moberly and Mrs. Aubrey Bradley, Jr. of Huntsville; four brothers, Walter of Audrian, Mich.; Frank and Marshall of Joliet, Ill.; and Edmund of Mobile, Ala.; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
One brother preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Million-Greer and Comstock Funeral Chapel in Higbee, with burial at the Higbee City Cemetery. Visitation will begin at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday.
