Gladys Williamson, 80, of 217 Washington St. Sidney, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 16, 2011 at 5:30 P.M. at her residence.

She was born on October 16, 1930 in McCreary County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late John and Nette (Louden) Smith.

Gladys married Ulyis G. Williamson on August 22, 1947, who preceded her in death in February of 2001.

She is survived by ten children, Dorothy (Bill) Heatherly, Dian Sekosan, Teddy Grant Williamson, Linda (Mike) Allen all of Sidney, Keith (Joann) Williamson, Terrie Stockton and special friend Pat McCullough of Bellefontaine, OH, Kathy Gussler of Hardin, Sandie Ivey, Johnnie (Chantel) Steele of Piqua,OH, Michael (Chelly) Williamson of Maplewood, three sisters, and two brothers, Charlene Louden of Mt. Gilead, OH, Gerelene Sailor of Ontario, OH, Magdalene Hensley of Bucyrus, OH, Virgil Smith of Galion, OH. and John L. Rigney of Bucyrus, OH.

Gladys was a loving mother and the proud grandmother of thirty-one grandchildren, Pages (Lloyd) Smith, Chris Heatherly, Shaundra (JJ) Grunkemeyer, Jarla (Mike) Hockaday, Kellie (Marion) Shoffner, Romona (Richie) Wright of California, Cassandra (John) Weaver, DanielleWilliamson and Rachel Williamson of Norfolk,VA, Dawn Mabry, James Mabry, Jason Mabry, Terry Mabry of OH, Clayton Mabry II of Florida, Ronnie (Emily) Ivey Jr., and Deanna Ivey of Sidney, OH, Travis (Shanna) Ivey of La Follette, TN, Amy Williamson, Teddy (Jennifer) Ivey, Kenny Ivey, Wesley Stockton, Henry Stockton, Wayne Stockton, Judd (Angela) Williamson, Misty (Robert) Wooddell, Alex Steele of KY, Josh Steele, JT Steele, Cassie Steele, sixty-two great-grandchildren and four great great grandchildren, nine brothers, Ernest ,Roe, Blaine, Dillard, Randal, Homer, Floyd, Dillard, Charles Smith. One sister, Vesta Helman, two grandchildren, Alice Branch and Rickey Allen Ivey Jr. preceded her in death.

Mrs. Williamson was a retired worker from the former Stolle Corp. where she worked for 20 years.

A private graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery.

There will be no public visitation. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Cromes Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave.
