Funeral services for Dr. G.M. Harrison, M.D., were conducted Saturday, Dec. 30 at the LDS Church, 2055 Edgar St. Bishop Blaine Graham conducted the services. Interment was in the Paul J. Wataha Memorial Park.

Pallbearers were Ralph Craft, Frank Kersisnik, Clarence Fox, Dr. James Johnson, Jack Smith Sr., and Duce Piaia.

Harrison, 74, of 709 B St., Rock Springs died at 3:01 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989 at the Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County where he had been a patient since Sept. 24, 1989.

Harrison was born in Springville, Utah, April 3, 1915, the son of the late George and Alta Crandall Harrison. He attended schools in Salt Lake City and was a West High School graduate with the class of 1933. He graduated from the University of Utah and entered the University of Chicago Medical School where he graduated in 1941.

He was a World War II veteran, having service in the United States Army Air Force Medical Corps from 1941-45. He married the former Mary S. Straight in Cheyenne in 1946 and came to Superior to begin his practice and later moved to Rock Springs in 1947 where he continued his practice until the time of his death. He was a member of the Wyoming State Medical Society and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In addition to his wife, Mary, Harrison is survived by three sons, Dr. Myron C. Harrison of Danbury, Conn., Dr. Robert T. Harrison and Dr. Richard C. Harrison, both of Fort Collins, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Mike (Gwenllian) Roich and Maribeth Harrison, both of Rock Springs; five grandchildren, Spenser T. Harrison, Abby and Adam Roich and Jim and Jane Carollo.

In addition to his parents, Harrison was preceded in death by a daughter, Carolyn Carollo and one brother, Howard B. Harrison.
