Adam Lanning, 17, died Monday, September 12, 2011. A native of Asheville, Adam left us much too early. Adam was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Juanita Mathis Lanning, and his maternal grandfather Michael Luther.
From an early age, Adam appreciated and was a talented artist. He loved basketball, his music, and time spent in the park with his brother Dalton.
Surviving are his parents, Wayne and Terri Luther Lanning; brothers, Timothy and Dalton of the home; paternal grandfather, Sebern Lanning; maternal grandmother, Sadie Bagwell and step grandfather, Carl Bagwell; girlfriend, Crystal Walls and many friends, family and cousins.
Services will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Upward Kelly Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Bagwell officiating. Interment will follow at the Lanning-Pittillo Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Morris Funeral Home, 304 Merrimon Avenue.
