July 1, 1946 - September 13, 2011 CHOCTAW Ronald Alan Hale, 65, of Choctaw, OK, passed away September 13, 2011 in OKC. He was born in Oklahoma City, OK on July 1, 1946 to Albert T. and Hazel (Clutter) Hale. He fought a courageous battle with a brain disease for many years, but didn't let it define him. Ron married his high school sweetheart, Sharon K. (Goodwin) Hale, on July 4, 1966. They had their 45th anniversary in July. After graduating from Choctaw High School, he obtained a BS degree in Communications in 1973 from Oklahoma State University. He was a radio broadcaster with KSPI, KLPR, KEBC and other stations, newspaper columnist, author, inspirational / humor speaker, sports announcer, and insurance agent. Ron was a member of Harrah Church and loved to attend until he was no longer able to. He is now with his heavenly Father. He accomplished many achievements in his life and received numerous awards and recognition. Ron loved to make people laugh with his fun and outgoing personality. We will forever miss his smile and quick wit. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; his son, Mike Hale and wife Larissa of Choctaw, OK; and son, Matt Hale of Choctaw, OK; his grandchildren, Drew and Jacob Hale. He also leaves behind his sister, Patti Carey of Broken Arrow, OK; and two brothers: Mitch Hale of Oklahoma City, OK; and Steve Hale of Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
