Frederike Wilhelmine Carolina (Krehmeier) Meier was the youngest of Christine Sophia Louise (Kasten) Krehmeier Budde's children. She was 9 years old when immigrated from Bergkirchen, GER with her older sister, 2 brothers, and her mother, now a widow. Mother Christine married Ernst Heinrich Budde, a widower, shortly after he and his family arrived from GER. Mother Christine and Step-father Ernst Budde had two additional children together, half siblings to Frederike - Carolina and Louis Budde. Frederike later married Ernst Frederich Christian Meier and had 14 children, all born in Illinois. She died in 1900 and lies at rest in the German Cemetery in Eberle, Effingham Co., IL. It is also known as St. Matthews German Lutheran Cemetery.
