Rhudell Pearce passed away peacefully at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Hillview Health Care Center in Vienna, Illinois. Mrs. Pearce was born on September 20, 1916 in Johnson County the daughter of the late Walter and Nellie (Burklow) Russell and had attained the age of 95 years. She married Guy Frederick Pearce on April 7, 1935 in Vienna and he passed on January 10, 1975. Rhudell worked as a cook for several area restaurants including Bob White's Café, Turley Nursing Home and for the Buncombe Grade School until her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Vienna and was one of the church's oldest living members. Mrs. Pearce enjoyed cooking for her family, baking cakes and pies, quilting and loved being in the company of her family. Rhudell is survived by her daughters, Shirley and Jack Jones of Vienna, Illinois, Jeanette Zych of Steger, Illinois, Rosemary and Bob Hook of Vienna, Illinois and Frances and Henry Bullock of Grantsburg, Illinois, nine grandchildren, Kim (Bob) Collins, Teri (Leo) Kerley, Kelly (Mark) Bean, Sheri Robinson, Denise (Chris) Vieaux, Curt (Tess) Zych, Doug Hook, Brent Bullock, Brandon Bullock, eighteen great grandchildren, Jacob and Daniel Kerley, Michelle Vieaux-Magnetti, Ashley Vieaux, Nicole Vieaux-Dilberovic, Shannon Bean-Kerley, Stacy and Allison Bean, Nicholas, Shon and Wyatt Robinson, Clint Collins, Sarah and Benjamin Zych, Audra, Adrienne, Jordan and Jacob Bullock, eleven great great grandchildren, Jacob and Tyler Mierzwa, Nathan, Tanner, Liam and Alexandra Kerley, Alexandra Dilberovic, Annabelle Doody, Guiliana and Domonic Magnetti, Laney Conley and a forthcoming great great grandson expected on July 7, 2012 and by several nieces, nephews and good friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert Lee Russell, Clarence Valentine Russell, Aubrey Leon Russell and John Henry Russell, five sisters, Gertie Russell, Marie Smith, Ina Cox, Violet Pauline Fairless and Clarice Lucille Russell, a son-in-law Stan Zych and a grandson-in-law Jon Robinson. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at The First Baptist Church of Vienna with Dr. Ed Hollis officiating. Interment will follow at the Mount Zion Cemetery in Buncombe, Illinois. Visitation will be conducted on Saturday, May 5, 2012 from 5 until 8PM at Bailey Funeral Home.
