Mrs. Beverly Jean Burton Adams, of Winston-Salem, N.C. passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Roanoke County, Va. to Beverly Linkenhoker Burton. Mrs. Adams graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke and Roanoke Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She retired from Forsyth Medical Center in November 2006 after 33 years of service as a Registered Nurse. She was a charter member of Cornerstone Baptist Church where she was chairperson of the Building and Grounds. Surviving are her husband, Joseph Donald Adams; one son, Todd Emanuel Adams and wife, Trish, of Kannapolis, N.C.; three grandchildren, Tristen, Tanner, and Trent Adams; her mother, Beverly L. Richardson; and a sister, Diana Shepard, both of Roanoke, Va. A graveside service will be conducted at Mountain View Cemetery in Vinton, Va.
