C. K. Lockart, known by his friends as "Con," died at his residence, 1420 Missouri Street, at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Houston mourns the loss of another valued citizen and native son. Mr. Lockart was a member of a pioneer Houston family prominently identified with the business and social life of the city from its earliest days. On February 14 he rounded out his 79th year, and of him it can well be said: "He has fought a good fight, he has finished his course; he has kept the faith; well done, thy good and faithful servant, enter into thy reward." Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Etta White Lockart; one son, Robert Lockart; four daughters, Mrs. Olivia Sayers, Mrs. Adele Dorsey, Mrs. O. E. Reynaud, and Mrs. G. G. Moore; three grandchildren, Robert Lockart, Jr., Olive Lockart and Bettye Estelle Moore. Services will be held at the family residence, 1420 Missouri Street, at 4:30 p.m. Thursday with Bishop Clinton S. Quinn officiating. Interment will be in Glenwood Cemetery under the direction of Settegast-Kopf. Active pallbearers will be his nephews: J. F. Loving, Odin Sheldon, William Murray, A. N. Lockart, C. K. Lockart, Jr. Honorary: Paul Timpson, Oscar Weyrich, Harvey Dumble, George Nellinger, Dr. George Larendon, Dr. M. D. Orman, W. M. Rice, J. C. Hooper, Dr. E. L. Williams, George Hamman, Gus Street, J. E. Roberts, J. B. Moore, T. F. Reynaud, Harry Zapp, Sam Pennington, B. A. S. Lubbock, J. B. Lubbock, W. S. Lubbock, Felix Baker, W. S. Cochran and Hamp Cook. Settegast-Kopf in charge.
