MRS. ISOM WHITE---Lizzie Ida May Wing, daughter of George & Nancy Wing, was born in Polk County, Missouri, November 2, 1885; died at her home May 1, 1941 at the age of 55 years, 6 months. She was one of eight children. One brother preceded her in death, leaving three brothers and three sisters living. She was married to Oliver Turner in 1901. To this union were born seven children: Virgie, Otis, Harley, Ressie, Paul, Beulah, & Leona, all of whom were at her bedside when the death angel came except Harley who is in California. She also leaves 3 step-children, 10 grandchildren, 17 step-grandchildren, and a host of relatives & friends. Death haveing claimed her first husband, January 24, 1933; she was again married to Isom White, February 4, 1934, with whom she lived a happy life until she was called to her last home. She was converted at the age of sixteen years & united with the Baptist Church at Shady Grove & from that time lived a faithful Christian life. Lizzie life was one of sacrifice & usefulness; always thinking of comfort & pleasures of others; always looking at the bright side; always ready with a helping hand or word of cheer; thus we will remember her. Now mother & companion is gone when we experience how hard it will be to find sympathy; how few to love us for ourselves; how few will be-friend us in misfortune, then it will be that we think of the mother we have lost. Yes, mother, we realize that the guiding spirit of our lives is gone but we rejoice that you have taught us the way of Life and we also rejoice that we can look forward to a happy reunion in that never ending eternity. Death to God's children is no other than the gate of gladness, the port of Paradise, the haven of rest, Death is but life to a true believer; Our dying day is reaping day. Farewell, dear Mother, and companions, we shall meet again. Funeral services were conducted by L.L. Tucker at the Baptist Church in Stockton, Friday afternoon. Hymns were sung by a male quartette Willard Fleeman, Dr. Allder VI Curl, W.B. O'Bryant, and a duet by Mrs. C.C. Gill & Mrs. W.C. Davis. Interment in Stockton Cemetery with Davis Funeral Home in Charge. IN HER OBITUARY IT SAYS SHE WAS BORN IN POLK COUNTY BUT IN HER FATHER'S IT SAYS SHE WAS BORN IN DALLAS COUNTY NEAR BUFFALO. ALSO HER MIDDLE NAME OF MAY OR MAE WAS SPELLED EACH WAY.
