Rev Oliver Claude Stone, 83 year old retired Baptist minister, died at his home, 6112 NW 50, Monday after an illness of three years. Services are pending at Garrison Funeral Home.

Mr Stone had been an ordained minister since he was about 24 years old and had preached at missions in the vicinity of Oklahoma City for many years. He was ordained in Memphis, TN.

Born in Taney Co, MO, Mr Stone came to Oklahoma 42 years ago. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. His wife, Alice, died in 1952.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs Harry Goodman, 6100 NW 50; Mrs Alma Pease, Glendale, CA; Mrs Ruby Wright, 1427 NW 28; and Mrs Audrey "Todie" Haskins, of the home; a son, John "Bud" Stone, Whittier, CA; two sisters, Mrs Mollie Butcher and Mrs Julia Hoke, both of Springfield, MO; and three grandchildren.
