FOURTH CHILD of Johann Christoph Bierbaum and Florentine (Johanningmeier) Bierbaum, Christoph Heinrich Bierbaum was born on Valentine's Day, February 14, 1864.

Known in his adult years as "Christoph H.," he became a consulting engineer and lived at Buffalo, New York. Of his parents five children who lived to maturity, he is the only one who did not marry. After his death on June 15, 1947, his ashes were scattered at Niagara Falls, New York.

Christoph's baptismal record is at St. John Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, Clayton County, Iowa as Entry #12, 1864 Births/Baptisms. When baptized on April 17, 1864, his sponsor was his maternal uncle, Johann Heinrich ("Henry") Johanningmeier, 1843-1874.
