Twenty year resident of Miami Mr. Steve Miller Jr. passed from this life on Tuesday September 13, 2011 in Miami, Oklahoma at the age of 66 years. Steve was born February 2, 1944 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to his parents Clarence and Vernie Miller. Steve was self employed as a Asphalt layer in the Miami area for many years. On October 20, 1970 Miss Ruth Iler became his bride in Minnesota. Steve enjoyed visiting the casinos around the area. He enjoyed traveling and was known as a true outdoorsman, fishing was his specialty. Steve loved the holidays spending time with his family and grandchildren. Another hobby Steve enjoyed was "Junking". Many treasures he found around the area. Steve is survived by his wife: Ruth Miller of the home, 1 Son: Steve Miller and wife Michelle of Avalon, WI, 2 Daughters: Sheila Adams of Kansas and Sherry Brooks of Miami, Oklahoma, 1 Brother: Bert Miller of Crookston, Minnesota, 3 Sisters: Bobbie Joles of Wisconsin Dells, WI, Ruth Joles of New Castle, IN, Jo Ann Joles of Texarkana, Arkansas, He is preceded in death by his parents, 1 Daughter: Shelly Miller and 1 Sister: Kay Fain. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday September 16, 2011 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel with Wanda King officiating. Interment will follow at GAR Cemetery.
