Rev. Frank L. Atwood, 89, was buried at Shady Grove Cemetery last Sunday. A former resident of Crittenden, born at Canton, Ky., Rev Atwood came here as a young minister and pastored the Shady Grove Baptist Church about half a century ago.
At the time of death he resided with his daughter, Mrs. R.H. Keeton, Little Rock, Ark., and was affiliated with the Baptist Church of Fordyce, Ark.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon, by Rev. T.W. Talley, Providence, assisted by Dennie Hubbard. Rev Tally is 88 years of age, blind and practically deaf, yet fulfilled the funeral agreement entered into by Rev. Atwood when both were active in ministerial work that survivor should conduct the funeral rites of the other.
Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Effie Devers, Salem; a daughter, Mrs. R.H. Keeton, with whom he resided for the past several years, Little Rock, Ark., two sons, Robert, Fordyce, Ark., and Thomas J., Eldorado, Ark.
