"Aaron M. Adams, 71, died Friday at 6 p.m. in his residence at 136 Old Mill Road. Born in Akron, a son of the late George B. and Harietta Mellinger Adams, he had been employed by the Lititz Shoe Co. for 40 years before retiring in 1954.
He was predeceased by two wives: Stella Hartranft Adams in 1919 [sic] and Estella E. Grube Adams in 1944.
Surviving are two daughters: Dorothy M., wife of Arthur W. Buck, Allentown, and Betty J., wife of Alvin Ditzler, Ephrata; a son, Charles L., Leola; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Stradling Funeral Home, Akron.
The Rev. Henry A. Minnich officiated. Burial followed in Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Akron."
