Charles "Joe" Brandenburg, age 62, of LaFollette passed away September 11, 2011 at his home. He was a member of High Knob Baptist Church and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.

He was preceded in death by his parents Authur & Helen Brandenburg and infant sister Shirley Brandenburg.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Deborah Brandenburg of LaFollette, sons Eric and Paul of LaFollette, Sandy and Maverick of Crossville, Bobby of Johnson City, son and daughter-in-law Joey & Rikki of Lenoir City, daughters Pascah of LaFollette, Deborah Sanford & Hannah Sartin of Knoxville, daughters and sons-in-law Maranatha & Daniel Nelson of LaFollette, Jerihlyn & Ralph Marcum of Jacksboro, Terra & Dustin Figueroa of Chattanooga, brother and sister-in-law Jerry & Karen Brandenburg of Greenville, sister and brother-in-law Shelia & Matt Galloway of Knoxville, 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and relatives.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel with Phil Rutherford and Rev Paul Hembree officiating. Interment will be on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bakers Forge Cemetery. Family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Martin Wilson chapel.
