Joseph N. Leaverton, 85, of Elkhart,
passed away January 11, 2008.
He was born to Joseph and Alta Leaverton August
15, 1922, and married Jean Multner. She survives with a son, Dr. James Leaverton

of Elkhart, a daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Morse of Carmel, IN; a
granddaughter, Jennifer (Sheldon) Stephens, a grandson, Brandon Morse
and a
great-granddaughter, Emerson Stephens.
Mr. Leaverton retired as Vice-president
of Elkhart Foundry and formerly was chief industrial engineer for Hamilton
Foundry in Ohio.
He was a member of Tau Beta Phi and Phi Eta Sigma.
He
served in the U.S. Army in WWII.
Visitation is from 4-8 pm Monday at
Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home where services will be at 1 pm Tuesday.

Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Memorials may be given
to Humane Society of Elkhart County or charity of donor's choice.
