Herman James Rambow was a famous billiard cue builder and cue expert who built cues for many famous players. He worked for Brunswick Cues off and on from the time he was age 14 in 1894 until 1950, when he retired from Brunswick and opened his own cue shop.

Herman's year of birth is indicated as 1882 on his SSDI record, his draft registration, and his marriage license (which says he was 25 in July of 1908). His death certificate and other records indicate 1880 and 1881. It would seem more likely that HE would give correct info, therefore I listed it as 1882. Also, when HE gave his day of birth, it is listed as October 3rd.

Herman built billiard cues for many famous players, including Minnesota Fats and Willie Mosconi.

In 1959/1960, Herman produced cues for the well-known United Artists film, "The Hustler."

1968 - Herman Rambow was the first cuemaker ever inducted into the Billiard Congress of America's Hall of Fame.

1993 - Herman was inducted into the American Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame.

In 2004, Herman was inducted into the International Cuemakers Association Hall of Fame.
