Audrey Burch, age 91, of Reston, VA and formerly of Avenue, MD. Born in New Orleans, she received her nursing credentials in New Orleans and also trained to treat children with polio in Minnesota, where she worked with Sister Kenny. In 1941, she joined the Army where she served as a nurse and met her husband who was also serving in the US Army Air Corps. A Graveside Service will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, Avenue, MD later in September, with interment in the church cemetery.
