Lois Kearns Barnett, age 96 of Raeford died on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Kingswood Nursing Center in Aberdeen.
She was born on April 5, 1915 in Stanly County, NC to the late Kenny Kearns and Sara Louise Ragsdale Kearns. She was a member of Ashley Heights Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Barnett and wife Wanda of Raeford, NC; four grandchildren: Sonya, Shannon, Ian, and Ethan; nine great-grandchildren also survive her. She is also survived by two brothers: Hubert Moss and Rev. Zeb Moss both of Aberdeen, NC; two sisters: Mabel Chamberlain and Freida Snyder both of Aberdeen, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 1973, Edgar Burlin Barnett and a brother Randall Moss.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Boles Funeral Home Chapel in Southern Pines with Rev.Zeb Moss officiating. Private family burial will be held at Ashley Heights Cemetery in Aberdeen.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Boles Funeral Home in Southern Pines.
