Melinda Henryson, 96, of Story City died Friday, Sept. 13 at Bethany Manor Nursing Home where she had been a resident for many years. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, with the Rev. Orville Sanderson and Stephen Anenson officiating. Burial will be at the Story City Cemetery.
Melinda Myre was born Feb. 28, 1889 in Jewel to Godskalka and Sonneva Myre. On Jan. 5, 19140, she was married to Annas J. Henryson who died Nov. 2, 1970.
Survivors include one son, Gaylord, of Story City; four daughter, Selma Dyvig of Ames, Myrtle Olson of Jewel, Margaret Hart of Lake Charles, La., and Hazel Braaten of Cresco; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister, Carrie Larson of Huron, SD.
She is preceded by her husband Annas, a son, Harold; two grandchildren, four brothers and three sisters.
