McALLEN ??? Virginia Fuentes, 82, died Tuesday, April 4, 2006 at Mission Regional Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel Fuentes, Sr.; two sons, Anastacio Fuentes and Manuel Fuentes, Jr.; her parents, Jose and Sara Mata; four brothers, Abundio, Florencio, Juan and Santos Mata; and a sister, Felipa Mata.
Mrs. Fuentes is survived by two daughters, Felipa Soto of McAllen, Maria V. Fuentes of Ontario, Oregon; three sons, Joel R. (Rosa) Fuentes , Julian R. (Adelmira) Fuentes, both of McAllen, Daniel (Angie) Fuentes of Nampa, Idaho; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Gavina Ibarra of
Palmview, Texas; and a brother, Ceaser (JoAnne) Mata of DeKalb, Illinois.
A rosary was held Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Memorial Funeral Home, 208 East Canton in Edinburg. Funeral service will be at 1 p.m., today, April 7, 2006 at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church in McAllen. Interment will follow at La Piedad Cemetery in McAllen.
Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in Edinburg.
