Shearel Douglas Agan, 73, of Winston, Georgia, died Sunday, August 28, 2011, in Tanner Medical Center, Carrollton. Mr. Agan was born in Paulding county on March 27, 1938, the son of the late Willie B. Agan, Sr. and the late Mallie Elizabeth White Agan. He lived his entire lifetime in the Paulding and Douglas county area and retired from Ford Motor Company with thirty years of service. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Winston.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, James Agan and Harold Agan and one sister, Carolyn Agan Washington. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Janice Dobbins Agan of Winston; his two sons and a daughter-in-law, three daughters and two sons-in-law, three sisters and a brother-in-law, four brothers and three sisters-in-law, ten grandchildren, one great-grandson, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service conducted August 30 at Liberty Baptist Church, Winston, with Rev. Joey Vaughan and Rev. Kenneth Johns officiating. Pallbearers are Ryan Agan, Chase Agan, Jody Millians, Keith Agan, Josh Agan and Scottie Washington. Honorary pallbearers are Micah Wade and Ryan Allen. Interment in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. J. Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home, Villa Rica in charge of arrangements.
