Ila Mae Calhoun, 75 of Star City died Sunday at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born November 25, 1934 in Star City to the late Norman and Mae McCarty Fullbright. She was a supply clerk for School Apparel Inc. and a member of the Fellowship Bible Church in Star City.
Survivors include her husband, Guy "Pete" Calhoun of Star City, a daughter, Gay Calhoun Pace and husband Grant of Monticello, a brother, Floyd Fullbright of Montcello, one sister, Mary Carter of Euless, Texas, a grandson, Brice Pace of Monticello and a special niece and nephiew Bud and Barbara Calhoun.
Services will be 4:30 P.M. Wednesday at the Griffin Funeral Chapel in Star City with Bro. Myron "Bud" Calhoun and Bro. Pete Kiefhaber officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life c/o Wanda Tubbs at P.O.Drawer 69, Star City Ar. 71667 Pallbearers will be Charles Burton, Rusty Hall, David McCoy, Wayne McCoy, Anthony DeJarnette, Randy McDonald, Ben Novack and Kendell Bearden.
