William Lewis King was a lifetime resident of the Anderson Community in Caswell County. He was the husband of Margaret Robertson King, and the son of Joseph Henry and Eva Walker King. He was the brother of Walter Thomas King. He was a retired tobacco farmer and beef cattle producer. He was a lifelong member of Bethel Christian Church and served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II. He further served his community as a charter member of the Southern Caswell Ruritan Club and the Caswell County Cattlemen's Association.
