Emil P. Morrell, 89, formerly of 1328 Wisconsin Ave., New Holstein, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2000 at the Calumet Homestead Rehabilitation Center in New Holstein.
He was born April 6, 1911 in Stiles, Wis., son of the late Frederick and Agnes Morrell.
On June 1, 1940, he married Evelyn Kobriger at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. His wife preceded him in death on Dec. 22, 1996.
Emil was a member of Holy Rosary Church in New Holstein.
Emil is survived by one daughter, Marilyn (Chuck) Neilitz of Little Chute; two sons, Leonard (Linda) Morrell of Stockbridge and Raymond Morrell of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren, Georgia (Michael) Edgington, Ginger (Rick) Lafond, Robin (Wendy) Morrell, Mathew Morrell, Amanda Morrell; six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Gerry, Elisha, Coleton, Callie and Devon; two brothers, Levi Morrell of Stiles and Jim (Doris) Morrell of Two Rivers; one sister, Inez Preibeck of Manitowoc and one sister-in-law, Viola Kobriger. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two sisters and two brothers.
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church in New Holstein, with the Rev. Frank Weber, pastor, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
A memorial fund will be established in Emil’s name.
