She had returned from Minneapolis the previous Friday. Her starting for home before she had rallied from a surgical operation there probably hastened her death.
Her mother, Mrs. Jas. Brutton of Hunter, N.D., and a sister, Mrs. John Hunter of Manitoba, were present at the funeral which took place Saturday. She was interred in Greenwood Cemetery.
The deceased was born in Napanee, Ontario, and was married toJohn Mitchell eleven years ago. They ahve been in the states for the past eight years and at Buena Vista over two years. They have many friends here who will weep at this sudden taking off. (Bemidji Pioneer, April 5, 1902)
