William Feries Britton was born on April 14, 1893, in Colorado, child of Dexter and Cora Rebecca. He married Emma Marguerite Knackstedt on June 7, 1931, in Shenandoah, Iowa. They had three children in 10 years. He died on July 31, 1965, in Laramie, Wyoming, at the age of 72.
