Chester Coble, 82, of West Rigney Dr. died at 6:20 am Wednesday, Dec. 25, 1991 in Terre Haute Regional Hospital. He was a retired salesman after 42 years with Hulman & Co.
He was born Feb. 27, 1909, in Cory to Rue Coble and Zoe Bennett Coble. Survivors include his wife Clara Walker Coble. He was a charter member and former secretary of Vigo County Bird Dog Association, former secretary of the Illiana Bird Dog association and a member of Indiana State University Stadium Men’s Golf Association and the Cory Methodist Church.
Services are 10 am Saturday in DeBaun Springhill Chapel, with Rev. Jerry Caskey officiating. Burial is in Highland Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jack Arthur, Jack Dodd, Russ Stewart, Joe Prox, Jim Nickell and Paul Hoopingarner. Visitation is 5 to 8 pm today.
