Thomasville Mrs. Angela Dawn Bivens Byerly, 47, a resident of Thomasville died Wednesday, September 7, 2011. Angela was born August 23, 1964 in Davidson County a daughter of Clinton Gene Bivens and Patty Slaydon Bivens and had made this area her home most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of Holly Grove Lutheran Church and loved her dog Penny, her cats Isabella, Phoebe and Miss Kitty. She was preceded in death by her mother. On November 11, 2005 she married Michael Thomas Byerly of the home. Surviving in addition to her husband is her son, David Allen Chrisley of Greensboro, NC, her sisters, Karen Bivens Fowler and husband Kevin of Muskogee, OK, Donna Bivens Hensley and husband Hoss of the Reeds Community and half-sister, Monica Bivens Rasmussen of Salisbury, NC, her father, Clinton G. Bivens of the Reeds Community. Also surviving is her grandmother, Iris McKinney, her uncle Jerry McKinney and life companion Rita Carpenter and nephew Jeremiah McKinney all of Lexington, NC. Funeral service will be 3:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2011 in the Holly Grove Lutheran Church with Pastor John Mocko officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 pm at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville and at other times at the home of Barbara Gaultney (Michael's mother) Brenda Dr. Thomasville.
