Gladys Inez Howze, 80, Punta Gorda, died Dec. 9, 2003. She was born Dec. 24, 1922, in Newton, Ga, and has been a lifelong resident of Punta Gorda. She was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Punta Gorda.
Survivors include daughters Sophia Wondergem, Cynthia Dees, and Sylvia Keeler, all of Punta Gorda, and Shelia Austin of Cartersville, Ga; a brother, B.F. "Benny" Edwards of Punta Gorda; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and 16 great-step-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10-11am Saturday at the Church of God of Prophecy in Punta Gorda, with services at 11am. Burial will follow at Indian Springs Cemetery in Punta Gorda.
