P.H. Tucker of Houston Expires
Funeral Service Set Thursday
Philip Harvey Tucker, 62, of Houston, son of Mrs P. L. Tucker of this city, died late Tuesday afternoon in a Houston Hospital following a critical illness of several weeks. Funeral services are set for 11:30 o'clock Thursday morning in Houston.
A native of San Augustine county, he had resided in Houston since a young man. Mr. Tucker was a veteran employee of the Houston Chronicle. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include his wife, Mrs Viola Truitt Tucker, a son Philip Tucker of Houston, a twin son and daughter, Lemuel Ray Tucker of North Carolina and Miss Leah Faye Tucker of Houston; two brothers Bert B Tucker and L. C. Tucker of Jacksonville; four sisters , including his twin, Mrs E. G. Norton of Amarillo, Mrs A. S. Barineau of Dallas, Mrs Clara Barksdale and Mrs Fred Rawlinson, both of Jacksonville; and five grandchildren.
Mrs Rawlinson was at his bedside when death occurred and attending the funeral from here will be Mr. and Mrs B.B. Tucker, Mr and Mrs. L. C. Tucker and Mrs Clara Barksdale. Mrs Tucker was unable to attend her son's funeral due to illness.
